Swapping different colored pillows and styles - Cuckoo4Design

Playing the pillow shuffle while having way too much to do is definitely what I have been up to.
I know it’s old news to Instagram people but I caved in and bought myself some leopard pillow covers. I was trying to not do it for the longest time. Why? I have no clue but when my birthday rolled around and I was way too lazy to make my own…well I just pulled the trigger.
So the other day with all the other projects piled up, I just pretended I had nothing else to do and played pillow shuffle. Want to see? Sorry, even if you don’t, I don’t have anything else right now.

Easy DIY Corbels made out of scrap wood

I wanted corbels that would fill the space between the upper cabinets and the base cabinets to make it appear like a single piece of furniture.  These corbels are really easy to make and since I made them entirely out of scraps I had in my “sCrap pile”, they were also very cheap (free)!
Each corbel is made from glueing together three pieces of 3/4″ MDF, then adding moulding.  Easy peasy!

Easy to build DIY command center - only takes a drill!

There comes a point in every mom’s life where every single day you feel like you’re forgetting something. Maybe it’s that bass lesson… no wait it’s a ball game…. oh crap, you forgot to pay that bill. It’s always something! And usually mine revolves around the kid. After one too many apology texts, I decided to do something about it, so I made a command center. And as a busy mom, I made it in a hurry. This easy DIY command center took less than an hour to make from start to finish. Want to build one?

{The Master} Bedroom Reveal via Hi, Sugaplum!

I know it's like a tennis match over here lately, with the back and forth between houses...but we worked so hard prepping the old house for sale and a photoshoot, so I want to be sure and share those final projects with you. That way I can wrap up the Home Tour for our memory banks, too.
If you recall, the Master Bedroom makeover came on hot and heavy...we had barely gotten started (with just new bedding), but the magazine added the room to their shot list, not to mention, we unexpectedly needed to sell the house...so we had to crank it in to high gear. Basically the opposite of how I usually operate!

Dresser with baskets as top drawers. Great for organizing and adding interest to a piece. (or replacing broken or missing drawers!)

How to Add Interest to A Painted Piece of Furniture:
You can paint every piece of furniture that you come across and it will look great.  You can crack open a can of white paint wait for it to dry and distress it a little and call it a day.  It will sell and the new owner will be thrilled.
But if you really want to turn heads and make her feel all special about herself.  Dress her up and show off her details.
Let me show you how.
